Daviess County Public School

Renovations included new energy-efficient VRV HVAC systems, LED lighting, updated kitchen hood, greenhouse heater, and upgraded digital controls for improved comfort, air quality, and efficiency.

Overview

The renovations consisted of the replacement of several outdated HVAC units with new, more efficient VRV (Variable Refrigerant Volume) units with a 100% outside air system to serve classrooms, offices, and large spaces such as the gymnasium and auditorium. In addition to the replacement of the HVAC units, SKY Engineering included a new heater for the Greenhouse.

The kitchen hood was converted from Type I to Type II to assist in the switch from gas appliances to electric ovens and steamers. New LED lighting was installed in the cafeteria and auditorium. All the existing pneumatic controls were replaced with new Alerton controlled VLD (VisualLogic Display) controllers.
